MEDICIS PORCELAIN VASES TO THE SUPERB COMPOSITION OF SATYRS GRIFFINS DOLPHINS AND TROPHIES - BY DAGOTY OR NAST - EARLY 19th

Superb pair of Medicis vases on pedestal, evased at the neck, with magnificent handles, and a somptuous decor. It dates from the early 19th century, 1st Empire period, circa 1810. It's made by a parisian porcelain manufactory, the one of Dagoty or of Nast.

Handles are to ornaments of big satyrs faces, in big relief

The ornaments to satyrs, griffins, dolphins and trophies, are essentially painted in gold, on a slight pink background. However, complementaries colors are used on the whole composition. The frames and motives are overlighted with two gold, matte and brilliant, slightly darker

Pedestal is decorated with two gold large beautiful foliages, sorts of palms

The main body of the vases have each one, painted to two golds, two beautiful frames on a blue Sevres background:

-One shows a roaring griffin, lifted leg and ready to claw.

-The other draws two backed dolphins, spewing jets

Between these two compositions, we can admire trophies, with intertwined helmets, swords and lictor beams. They are painted in nuanced empire green, and put on an entablature of red drapes

PARISIAN PORCELAIN TUREEN ON ITS PRESENTATION PLATE - LOUIS XVI PERIOD CIRCA 1775

Handpainted tureen, on its presentation plate, realised by a parisian manufactory porcelain, at the end 18th century, circa 1775.

This superb tureen is in the most remarquable neoclassical Louis the sixteen style, as well in its shape than in its ornementation

Almost circular presentation plate, with only tiny brief waves on the edge

Cup tureen, on pedestal with scotia molding, goes enlarging toward the top edge, by a sober curved line. The general profile is one of an elegant cyma

The lid has a cyma profile too, but flatter, and ends in flat shape at the top, where it's crowned with a stylized pine cone

Following the general shape of the tureen, the handles are constituted of flat segments, slightly curved

The very delicate handpainted ornemenation is composed of monochrome bouquets, all different, and treated in camaïeu. They are linked by a purple ribbon, and by gilt floral garlands, that run above and below the ribbon

This subtile decoration, very delicate to paint, covers a large part of the porcelain. We see it on three parts of it: the plate wing, the tureen itself, and its lid

Complementary decor is made with gilt streaks

We can see under the tureen the J V initials, engraved with a stiletto, under glaze, and which is the painter signature

Perfect conservation of gilding and ornementation

PAIR OF CUPS AND SAUCERS
FROM THE ROYAL PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY OF MONSEIGNEUR LE DAUPHIN - LILLE 18th CENTURY
- RED CROWNED DOLPHIN STAMP

Lille, 18th century. Pair of coffee cups and their saucers, in white porcelain handpainted of colored bouquet, one on each cup and one on each saucer. Several little flowered twigs complete the decor.
The gilt edging draws the 'dents de loup', (in english, teeth of wolves), due to the fact the pointed motive looks like the teeth of this animal.
The shapes of the cup and saucers are typically those of the Louis XVI period: Cylindrical shape for the cups, and big tronconic lip for the saucers (plus their absolutly flat well).
The red crowned dolphin stamp is visible under a cup. It is the hallmark of the Lille's manufactory, placed under the protection of the Dauphin de France, Louis-Joseph, first son of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette.
The manufactory had for name: Manufacture Royale de Porcelaine, (Royal Porcelain Manufactory).
It was created on january the thirteen, in 1784, in Lille, Place des Carmes.
This set of porcelain dates from the third quarter of 18th century, circa 1785.

The cylindrical shape of the cup, called ' litron ' in french, and the rectangular shape of the fluted handle which reminds some elements of the greek architecture, as well as the tronconic shape of the saucer lip, allow to date this object from the third quarter of 18th century, during the neoclassical period.

KPM BERLIN - TEAPOT IN PURPLE CAMAIEU - EPOCH 18th CENTURY - BLUE SCEPTER STAMP

Elegant 18t century teapot, from the Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur of Berlin,  (Royal Porcelain Manufactory). The teapot is.handpainted on its two faces, with magnificent purple camaïeu bouquets.

The spout and the handle are decorated aswell, with purple foliages and additional touches of green

The lid handle has a flower shape and is surrounded of colored flowers.

The globular shape of the teapot, its handle and spout in foliage shape, the handle lid formed in naturalist flower, shows us that this rococo style object dates from the mid 18th century, circa 1750

The teapot bears underneath the blue scepter stamp, under glaze, which is the disctinctive sign of KPM Berlin

Note please that it lacks a little piece of a twig on the lid, but this is a very inconspicuous lack.

Due to the colored flowers of the lid, I think that IT  could maybe come from another teapot. However, its proortion and the colors of the handle, purple and green, seem conform.

DRESDEN PORCELAIN CUP WITH HANDPAINTED MINIATURE - WEIMAR CITY PERSPECTIVE - EARLY 19th CENTURY

Saxe porcelain cup from the very early 19th century, representing a sight of the city of Weimar, handpainted in miniature.

So, this cup is a dresden porcelain from the very early 19th.

CHOCOLATE CUP FROM THE BERLINER MANUFACTORY F.A SCHUMANN IN MOABIT - HANDPAINTED MINIATURE OF A SIGHT OF UNTERLINDEN IN BERLIN - CIRCA 1835

Very beautiful big chocolate cup, with its saucer, handpainted with an animated scene representing Unterlinden in Berlin. A talentuous miniaturist executed this paint, urban composition made with monumental architectures, animated with silhouettes, and presented in a vegetal environment of parks ornamented with statues and fountains. The least detail is impeccably restitued.
This scene is surrounded by a beautiful gilt rococo cartouche.
The cup, with a cyma molding general profile, is placed on a pedesstal and separated from it by a groove. Its surface is rippled, and its scalloped top edge complete this nice shape. The saucer presents on its surface the same rippling. These specific forms are highlighted with gilt scrolls, spreaded on all this outside surface.
The Schumann A Moabit manufactory was founded in 1835, and closed its doors in 1851.
This cup is dated, due to its hallmark, between 1840 and 1851, during the reign of Frederic-Guillaume III of Prussia :
Blue stamp SPM , crowned by an outspread wings eagle.
The place is located : Zeughaus und Neue Wache in Berlin

Based in the same region as the real Königliches Porzellan Manfaktur (KPM), the factory hallmark of the Schumann's Porzellan Manufaktur (SPM) was almost the same as the one of its famous neighbour.
Till 1850 the initials 'SPM' were added to the eagle-mark.

Rare object, in very good condition, with no cracks, no chips and no repairs.
The miniature paint is totaly preserved
Let's report that it is a slight erasure on some parts of the gilding, which not to impede a good appreciation of this nice design
