KPM BERLIN - TEAPOT IN PURPLE CAMAIEU - EPOCH 18th CENTURY - BLUE SCEPTER STAMP Elegant 18t century teapot, from the Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur of Berlin, (Royal Porcelain Manufactory). The teapot is.handpainted on its two faces, with magnificent purple camaïeu bouquets. The spout and the handle are decorated aswell, with purple foliages and additional touches of green The lid handle has a flower shape and is surrounded of colored flowers. The globular shape of the teapot, its handle and spout in foliage shape, the handle lid formed in naturalist flower, shows us that this rococo style object dates from the mid 18th century, circa 1750 The teapot bears underneath the blue scepter stamp, under glaze, which is the disctinctive sign of KPM Berlin Note please that it lacks a little piece of a twig on the lid, but this is a very inconspicuous lack. Due to the colored flowers of the lid, I think that IT could maybe come from another teapot. However, its proortion and the colors of the handle, purple and green, seem conform. Very good condition with no chips, no crack, no scratches, no erasures Height 4,25 inches - (11 cm) - Diameter: 4,25 inches - (11 cm)
