Exceptional unique work that this big ceramic panel realised by Théodore Deck , eminent ceramist from the second part of the 19th century, who ended his carrer as Sèvres Manufactory Director, supreme consecration. The panel was painted by Eugène GLUCK, famous painter from this time aswell.

It represents a scene of hunting, from the middle age, with a young knight, on his galloping horse, a spear in the hand ready to be launched. A servant is racing behind him, while before, a hound is rushing furiously toward the boar
Beautiful background of translucid enamel, caractéristic of the blue Sèvres of DECK. Signed at the middle of the bottom : E. GLUCK. Created circa 1866.
Signé of an engraved stamp on the back panel : TH DECK - Fabrication de la manufacture, au 92 RUE DE LA roquette , à Paris.
Provided with its gilded wood framerame
