CARRARA MARBLE SCULPTURE IN DIRECT CARVING - LIONESS ROARING - Between 17th and 18th century This beautiful marble of The Far hardness is veined with gray. The eyes of the lioness are in sulfide. The sculpture is anonymous, but comes from Italy. Baroque style, it can be dated late 17th or early 18th century. (late Baroque). The sculpture is obviously executed in direct carving. Traces of red (in the mouth) Very good condition, without cracks neither chips. Height: 6,9 inches. Length: 11 inches. Width: 4,35 inches. Weight: 8,4 pounds
