RARE INSIGNA OF A REPRESENTATIVE
OF THE PEOPLE AT THE
PARLIAMENT
Rare insigna of delegate ot the people at the
parliament, dating from 1848.
Red ribbon, with blue and white streaks on each
side. It bears a tricolor rosette applied at the
top, and a gold embrodery ornament in the
center,
figuring a beam of lictor
surmounted by the hand of justice.
At the bottom hang down eight twists of gold
interwoven thread, in spiral shape.
On the back is sewed a button at the reverse of
the rosette, with an embossed mention 'Legion
d'honneur' (legion of honour).
Very good preservation of the colors.
Measurements : 4,53 inches by 1,38 - (11.5 cm by
3.5).
